In Germany these Breakfast Boards are called Früstücksbrett. In many German households children are served their breakfast and lunch on these incredibly useful platters. While it can be used as a cutting board it is a perfect substitute for a ceramic or plastic plates. They are very practical, easy to clean, have no lip where food gets caught, and are the right shape for a piece of bread.

Care: These plates may be used for both hot and cold food, but can not be placed in the oven. To maintain the life of the plate you must not wash it in the dishwasher. Instead, use water and a small amount of mild soap and hand dry. To preserve it for generations, you should occasionally add a beeswax polish such as Three Beeautiful Bees All-Natural Beeswax.

Most of the wood used in their products is sustainably harvested in Michigan. One of the major mills where their wood comes from is even powered by their scrap wood and extra power is used in the town.
