*In order to have full absorbency, you must use liners, prefolds, or inserts with this diaper and because it is a cotton diaper you must use a diaper cover.*

At Disana they have spent a lot of time with midwives and nurses to learn exactly what is needed to create the most comfortable and natural diaper for babies. The result is the disana diapering system. Baby's skin must be able to breathe. Therefore, it is essential for a diaper set to allow air to pass in and out. Yet, at the same time of course, it must adequately absorb moisture.

Using pure, all-natural fibers is the best way to guarantee both these qualities. This is the very reason why Disana has chosen to use only approved untreated and all-natural cotton, wool and silk for its entire nappy/diaper set.

The essential parts to the Disana diaper system are:

1. disana tie-on, knit diaper - This is the actual diaper. Made of pure cotton, it absorbs most of the fluid and retains it inside its fibers.

2. flannel liner/prefold/insert - It absorbs the remaining moisture and keeps the baby dry for a long period of time. You can use the Disana flannel liner or other prefolds/inserts you have on hand

3. Wool cover - This provides the watertight outer covering for the diaper. The Disana wool cover is amazingly soft and great at stopping leaks.

Comments: I just wanted to update. We have been using these diapers now for almost six months, and they are fabulous. We do NOT need to use an insert or prefold or doubler. We perhaps change more often than some, but so far, NO leaks. Not even one. I do not use this diaper at night, however. These wash so easily and dry so fast. My all-time favorite diaper. Thank you, Disana!

Well, 24 pocket diapers, 36 fitted diapers and 24 prefolds later, I bit the bullet, sold my stash, and ordered these for the newest babe. I regret not starting with these to begin with! Comments: I have pin-fear, so these seemed like an awesome compromise for me (in my quest for only the best organic and natural diapers for my daughter). I was a little intimidated at first by the wraps, but now LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them. They are so adorable that I let my daughter hang-out coverless. Comments: The ultimate best diaper! Not only are these diapers cheaper and ORGANIC but they are truly a onesize fits all slimmer fitting than any other diaper. I use heavyweight bamboo fleece liners and a wool cover and never had problems. Use the Disana wool cover with them for a totally breathable diapering system.
