EcaPants are a specially designed training pant for babies and caregivers practicing elimination communication (EC); also known as Infant Potty Training, Natural Infant Hygiene and Elimination Timing. They also work great for traditional potty learning for those children who still require assistance undressing, or for any child who hates changes!
EcaPants stay secure around a baby's waist for potty breaks, while the front panel flips down and back up again for easy potty access. No more struggling with undressing all day long! Plus, ecaPants are designed especially for the squirmy; your little one can be standing, crawling, sitting, or laying down and they can be put on with ease.
EcaPants are ‘one-wet’ training pants (without the insert). That means they are designed to hold one ‘miss’ or ‘wetting’, while still making it easy for you to tell when your little one 'went'. You can spot a miss by touching the outer trainer or sometimes by sight. These are great for learning your baby's cues when practicing elimination communication. To use ecaPants for heavier wetters, naps, car rides, etc. simply add an insert or two!
EcaPants are ultra trim and fit great under clothing. They rest like hip huggers on many babies, and are cut more like trim underwear than a bulky full coverage diaper. Amazingly, they still keep the messiest of messes in!
Materials
These non-waterproof style ecaPants have a 100% cotton or 70% bamboo/30% organic cotton woven outer (depending on print). These are designer prints on high quality fabric. A soft 100% cotton inner layer stays damp when a wetting occurs to help aid in bodily function awareness. Sandwiched between is a 4 layer internal soaker pad that is designed with quick drying in mind. The belt is made of a soft, plush elastic for a streamlined new look. A unique cotton pocket allows you to use inserts (sold separately) so you can add the amount of absorbency that works best for you and your baby.
The bamboo is grown organically (OCIA certified, IFOAM accredited, and NOP certified). The bamboo is transformed into fabric using a closed loop system; meaning 1% or less of the chemicals are released into the environment. The final fabric is also tested for traces of any chemicals and has an Oeko‐Tex 100 Standard Certification.
The aplix on ecaPants are made of high quality hook and loop with a specially bound border. This cotton edging softens otherwise sharp edges to keep baby and caregiver comfortable, helps keep the aplix free of debris, and keeps it looking great far longer than most aplix style diapers!
*The chickadee print is the only print that currently comes in come in organic cotton (70% viscose of bamboo, 30% organic cotton; outside fabric only). The company is looking into organic options and hopes to have a full organic version in the near future. These are 100% cotton trainers/diapers and will need a cover to be waterproof.*

EcaWare Baby and ecaPants were created by a mother who practices ec with her own child. She saw a need in the EC community for potty learning pant that would help make EC easier. Dressing and undressing a baby so many times a day for potty trips can be challenging, so she found a way to make it a breeze.
EcaWare Baby is a one WAHM owned and operated business. Because the demand for ecaPants has outgrown the creator's capacity for production, most trainers are now sewn in a fair trade US company.
